Key advice: take control over your own career
In the two-and-a-half years I have been with Signify, one of the things I like best is how the company continuously supported me in getting the most out of my career. There are so many opportunities to learn through training courses and to develop additional skills by signing up for stretch assignments. You just need to grab these opportunities when they present themselves because you cannot only learn by doing.

What I’m really proud of is how committed we are to sustainability, supporting our customers in lowering emissions through our products, while at the same time delivering on our promises by embedding sustainability in our own operations. As Key account manager, my job is to get our products to our customers on time. As Signify is so committed to sustainability, I add to that the challenge of getting the products to our customers as sustainably as possible – for instance by working with colleagues from the Supply chain on ways that allow us to send only one truck of products per week instead of three. This significantly reduces carbon emissions and at the same time lowers costs.
Having an impact
As world leader in lighting, operating at such a massive scale, the company has a big impact on the transformation of the lighting industry overall, unlocking new digital opportunities that will shape all our futures. It is very rewarding to work for a company that can have such an impact through its products, systems and services.
