Embracing fate
I was born in Pila, where one of Signify’s largest factories has been around for decades, manufacturing lamp components for conventional lamps, Philips Hue luminaires, professional luminaires and electronic ballasts. Growing up I always heard great stories about the company and the development opportunities that it offered. Joining the company therefore was a no-brainer for me.

Challenging yourself
I started as a junior finished goods planner, moving to a senior role over the course of six years. And now as Logistics manager I even manage my own team. Over these years I have always continued to challenge myself to learn – by absorbing knowledge from colleagues with 20 or even 30 years of experience, and by joining the internal and external learning opportunities the company provided me. I’m very proud of the support we get to develop ourselves and to learn new skills.
Key advice: don’t be shy to try!
People may sometimes be hesitant to apply for a job in Supply chain as they feel they don’t tick all the boxes. I advise them to still go for it as Signify has many different programs in which it helps people to attain and refine their skills. Additionally, once you have joined one our Supply chain teams, don’t forget to have fun, as I promise you won’t be bored.
